E-commerce firm Amazon India will hold its annual Prime Day sale program on July 23 and 24, which new users will be able to access after paying around 50 percent higher membership fee compared to last year’s event. Prime Day starts on July 23, 2022 at 00:00 and will air until July 24, 2022.

“We believe that based on the amount of investment in delivery, shopping and all the various benefits, we feel that the price of the program is fair at this point and we have seen tremendous interest,” Amazon India’s head of Prime and Experience Fulfillment, Akshay Sahi told PTI. The monthly Prime membership has been increased to ₹179 from the earlier charge of ₹129.

Membership gives users access to discounts on delivery fees, access to the top entertainment platform Amazon Prime Videos and Amazon Music.
