Apple brings redesigned iPad in India priced at ₹ 44,900 and up: Details

Apple introduced a new iPad with a completely redesigned design. The Cupertino-based company dropped the home button from the device, allowing for a full-screen design. The new iPad is offered in four new colors: silver, blue, yellow and pink. The device is powered by the Apple A14 Bionic chipset and runs on the iPadOS 16 operating system.

iPad Price (2022) in India

The Apple iPad (2022) WiFi model comes with a starting price of ₹44,900 for the 64GB model. The price of the device will increase to ₹59,900 for the 256GB variant. It’s WiFi + Cellular model, on the other hand, is priced at ₹59,900 and ₹74,900 for 64GB and 256GB respectively. It is available for pre-order and will go on sale on October 26.

The Apple iPad (2022) model has a 10.9-inch Liquid Retina display with a resolution of 2360 x 1640 pixels, almost 4 million pixels, 500 nits of brightness and True Tone technology. The company has removed Touch ID with the 2022 model. The tablet is powered by the A14 Bionic chipset, which is claimed to deliver a 20% increase in CPU and 10% improvement in graphics over the previous generation. Apple claims that the new iPad is up to 5x faster than the best-selling Android tablet,3

On the camera front, the iPad (2022) model has an ultra-wide front camera with a 12MP sensor and a 122-degree field of view with Center Stage support. On the back is an improved 12MP wide-angle camera with detailed 4K video with 240-fps slo-mo support. The tablet is equipped with a dual microphone and offers new stereo speakers in width.

The all-new iPad (2022) comes with Wi-Fi 6, 5G and USB-C for faster connectivity. Thanks to the new Wi-Fi 6 support, connections on the new iPad are 30 percent faster than Wi-Fi 802.11ac supported by the previous generation. The mobile models come with 5G connectivity with speeds of up to 3.5 Gbps.

The company offers an all-new Magic Keyboard Folio with full-size keys, 1mm travel, and multi-touch gestures that make scrolling, swiping, pinching, and cursor movement even smoother. The device runs on iPadOS 16, which brings new features for productivity and collaboration. The OS brings Freeform, a powerful new built-in productivity app with a flexible canvas and full Apple Pencil support that lets users see, share and collaborate in one place.
