Tech giant Apple is likely to launch a new entry-level iPad with a larger screen along with an update to the iPad Pro that upgrades the chip from M1 to M2.
The leak claimed that the 10th generation iPad and iPad Pro will see some changes during this period, according to AppleInsider.
In a Naver post from the leak account, a source in China claimed that an October event could happen and host iPad changes.
While it’s not necessarily an October event, the leaker said it will take place at another event held after the iPhone 14 launch.
The new 10th generation iPad is said to have a thinner new design in the leak, with a more angular shape and a flat bezel that unifies the aesthetic across the iPad line.
It is also said to have a bigger display than the existing 10.2-inch screen, but without specifying the exact size.
The model will also reportedly feature an A14 Bionic chip, support 5G, gain a protruding rear camera bump and lose the 3.5mm headphone jack.
At the same time as updating the basic iPad, Apple is also said to be upgrading the iPad Pro. However, the leak only says that the chip will be updated from M1 to M2 in a range of premium tablets.
