BGMI affects 100 million registered users in India

BGMI came to light last year for Indian users after the government banned PUBG

India’s warroyale game, Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI), has affected 100 million registered users in the country. Made by South Korean game engineer company Krafton, BGMI became available to users in India last July after the government banned PUBG because of its Chinese origins.

BGMI will complete one year of its launch tomorrow. Provides a variety of maps, modes, and interactions between game and events. The game is available to both Android and iOS users in India.

BGMI parent company, Krafton, has organized the BGMI tournament this year with the BMPS (Battlegrounds Mobile Pro series) recently completed season 1 set at ₹ 2 crore. 2022 will see 4 pro and semi-pro tournaments (BMOC, recently completed BMPS Season 1, BGIS Season 2 and BMPS Season 2) containing cash prizes of ₹ 6 crores.

Last year, Krafton invested nearly $ 100 million to upgrade India’s local video game, Esports, and entertainment startups.

“The first year of BGMI was an amazing success as millions of players joined in to hear the game. We have brought great competitions, the cooperation of the Indian team, and we have celebrated India events that focus on the community with the aim of filtering the game differently for our Indian users, ”said Changhan Kim, CEO, Krafton.
