Display details of the OnePlus 9 Pro have been unveiled

The display details of the OnePlus 9 Pro were officially unveiled by the company before the launch of March 23. In a blog post, the company has confirmed that the upcoming OnePlus 9 Pro will offer a Low-temperature polycrystalline oxide (LTPO) display with support for a relaxation rate of 120Hz. The panel will work on QHD + or 2K resolution, similar to the OnePlus 8 Pro smartphone.

To provide the best experience, the company provides high-quality hardware to users with the OnePlus 9 Pro. The phone also offers 10-bit colour depth support, 1300 nits peak light and HDR10 +. The device supports MEMC (Motion Rate, Motion Compensation), so sports content can be viewed at the most smooth frame rates.

The OnePlus 9 Pro will have a 360Hz touch response, which the company calls “Hyper Touch.” OnePlus promises that this feature will reach 30ms of latency in action games, which will help provide a better playing experience. OnePlus ensures that Hyper Touch support will provide 6X faster synchronization between display and processor compared to other devices.

By comparison, both the OnePlus 8 Pro and Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra games have a 120Hz display with 240Hz touch screen parameters. It is noteworthy that Xiaomi”™s Mi 11 provides a fast response with a 480Hz touch response. You still have to have a 360Hz touch response rate as you rarely get it.

OnePlus ensures that Hyper Touch supports games such as Call of Duty Mobile, League of Legends, PUBG, and Brawl Stars. It is promising that some games will receive Hyper Touch support soon.

One of the notable features is the OnePlus 9 Pro which will feature the LTPO OLED display which dramatically converts the refresh rate from 120Hz down to 1Hz, depending on demand. This will also save a good amount of battery life when viewing static content.

OnePlus said the OnePlus 9 Pro display “uses up to 50 per cent power while continuously delivering a 120Hz smooth viewing experience when needed.” By comparison, the lowest update rate for the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra is 10Hz.
