Enthusiasts managed to run Windows 11 on Surface Duo with dual screen support

Well-known enthusiast Gustave Monce managed not only to run Windows 11 on a foldable Surface Duo smartphone, but also to implement support for two screens of the device. In the published video, he noted that the performance of the system was higher than expected, especially in comparison with the Lumia 950 XL.

It is worth noting that there is no support for touch control yet (although it may appear in the foreseeable future), so the system is controlled using a Bluetooth mouse, although USB mice are also supported. Shaders and the Adreno GPU also perform quite well.

Of course, Windows 11 for Surface Duo is clearly not yet ready for everyday use. In addition to touch control, it is necessary to implement support for LTE, sensors and cameras. Fortunately, this does not seem impossible, but more experimentation will be required. You can find more information about running Windows 11 on Surface Duo on GitHub. by this link.

By the way, in the future, Gustave Monce intends to run the canceled Andromeda OS on the Surface Duo. He previously worked with Zach Bowden, Editor of the Windows Central Portal, ran this system on Lumia 950.
