Facebook has introduced new features to promote the Covid-19 vaccine. On Facebook, he introduced the Covid-19 vaccination profile frames, as well as a new sticker on Instagram.
Facebook said it had partnered with the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to introduce new frames. “The new frames will allow you to share your support for the COVID-19 principles and see that others you respect and care about do the same,” Facebook said on the blog.
“By working closely with national and international health authorities and using our scale to reach people faster, we do our part to help people access reliable information, vaccinate and encourage others to do the same so that we can get back together safely,” Facebook added.
The new Facebook frames contain messages “ I got a Covid-19 vaccine ” and “ Let’s get injected ”. Facebook will also show a summary of people using the Covid-19 vaccine frames in the News Feed. Facebook recently partnered with the National Health Services (NHS) in the UK to launch the Covid-19 vaccine frames. It said a quarter of people on Facebook in the UK were already using the profile frame.
On Instagram, there is a “Let’s get vaccinated” sticker that can be used in the News. The new sticker is visible on the Instagram app worldwide.
Facebook says such participation from friends and family could have a positive impact on people, and could lead to more people accessing the Covid-19 vaccine.
