Facebook is reportedly down for users worldwide. Several users around the world are complaining about the biggest social media platform displaying strange posts from celebrities. According to Downdetector – a platform that tracks outages of various applications and services, the problem started around 11:00 AM and peaked around 1:00 PM.
According to the site, 60% of users reported problems with the Facebook app. While 26% and 14% of users complained about problems with Facebook and the web.
What is the reason for the downtime?
The reason for the latest shutdown is currently unknown. Facebook has not yet acknowledged the outage and the company has not issued any official statement. We will update you as soon as there is an official word from the Meta-owned social media platform.

According to Downdetector, the app seems to work well for most users. However, at the time of writing, this issue is still affecting users. Users have also not received any update or patch from Facebook.

Various users around the world have taken to the microblogging site to complain about the latest Facebook outages. This time, a Facebook glitch has led to celebrities’ Facebook walls being filled with random messages and memes from their fans. Deepika Padukone, Tom Cruise, Rihanna, Sachin Tendulkar and Gordon Ramsay are just a few.
“Facebook hacked or what? My timeline is full of people posting on celebrity walls,” the user wrote in a post on Twitter. “Anyone else’s Facebook timeline is full of random bots posting on famous people’s walls? Has Facebook been hacked?,” wrote another.
