As India gears up to celebrate its 75th Independence Day with Har Ghar Tiranga campaigns, all the metaverse users are ready to be a part of the celebrations albeit digitally.
The ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign under the auspices of Azadi ka Amrita Mahotsav aims to encourage people to bring home the national flag and hoist it on the occasion of Independence Day. However, companies are also bringing this campaign to the meta version.
MapMyIndia, an indigenous mapping application, has launched the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign on Metaverse’s 2D and 3D maps of India. “We wanted every Indian to celebrate Independence Day on the metaverse as well. A platform where they could express themselves by hoisting the national flag at the house level,” Rohan Verma, CEO & Managing Director, MapMyIndia told indianexpress.com.
According to the company, millions of people have used the metaverse to display the map and display the national flag. “It’s very simple, users can use AR/VR and get an immersive view of the earth. More than 10,000 public places like Rajya Bhavan, Vidhan Sabha and tourist spots where the flag is usually displayed have been added with flags,” notes Verma.

Users can click on these houses on the flag icon or search for their own house and “Fly Your Flag” with an optional photo and tagline. You can also add missing houses to the map by clicking “Add Location” and then “Hang Flags” on your house map.
Kiyaverse, India’s first ever banking Metaverse, is also celebrating Azadi Kaa Amrit Mahotsav with ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ at ‘Bharatmeta’, Kiyaverse’s dedicated zone. Users can login to the Bharatmeta platform and fly the flag in 3D. “Over the last 75 years, India has become the bedrock of innovation in the technology sector.
