Cupertino-based Apple was speculated to launch the entry-level 10th-generation iPad during the Far Out event, but only the iPhone 14 and Apple Watch 8 series were officially announced. Apple already launched the iPad last year. The tech giant claimed in its keynote that it is 3x faster than the best-selling Chromebook and up to 6x faster than the best-selling Android tablet.
The iPad Air has a 10.2-inch display and is powered by the A13 Bionic chip, which delivers a 20 percent increase in performance compared to previous generations. The update will also allow users to resize app windows and offer new ways for users to work with multiple apps at once.
Currently, iPad users can run apps in full-screen view like on an iPhone, or run two apps side-by-side. The company also allows users to add a scaled-down version of a third app by swiping it from the side. Changes will be propagated to this interface.
