How to use Snap Camera AR filters with Microsoft teams

Microsoft Teams is one of the most widely used video conferencing applications during the shutdown due to Covid-19 times. Domestic workers are still using Microsoft Teams to communicate with their colleagues as many companies have not returned to normal routines. To make Microsoft teams more fun and exciting, the company has introduced a combination of Snap Camera (via Snapchat) and a desktop app that allows you to add AR filters.

Snap camera integration has been made available without additional user fees. Available for both macOS and Windows. If you wish to do so, you have the power to turn yourself into a cat, but the filter effects and AR results include a Fortnite hat, floating potatoes and more.

Here’s how to apply Snap filters and AR effects to Microsoft Groups

Log on to snapcamera.snapchat.com. Click download, scroll down, agree to the terms and conditions and download macOS or Windows.

Install the Snap Camera app and search the filters and select one of your options. It could be a cat or a Marvel character like Scarlet Witch or choose from categories like “Work From Home”, “Spring”, “Gaming” and others.

Once we have installed the program and selected the filter and restarted Microsoft Groups, it began to appear automatically. If that doesn’t work, go to your profile and follow the “Settings” menu. Under “Devices”, click on Camera, skip options and select “Snap Camera”.

Once the Snap Camera is selected, Microsoft Team users can choose from a variety of AR effects or filters they have chosen for their upcoming meetings. You can disable it using the method mentioned above or when in a meeting, click on the three dots, go to “Device Settings” and select your system webcam instead of Snap Camera.

In addition, Microsoft has introduced “Together Mode”. In informal meetings, guests can use “Together Mode” to move participants to a coffee shop, hall mode. This mode can be selected from the drop-down menu while in session. The keeper can click on a small pencil and select any group that appears in the left-hand corner.
