About 10 months ago, Microsoft began public testing of the new Outlook client with members of the Windows Insider program. The app has received some useful updates since then, including support for multiple Outlook accounts, but integration with other email services is still not available.
Now Microsoft announcedthat by the end of April, all users of the stable version of Outlook for Windows, which is part of Microsoft 365, will have a switch to upgrade to the new app. It will offer improved integration with Microsoft Teams, an improved calendar, the ability to pin important emails to the top of the list, and more. Over time, the new application will replace the current Outlook client, but you don’t have to switch to it just yet.
It is worth noting that initially the new Outlook application will only support personal Microsoft accounts, as well as Microsoft Exchange Online accounts.
