iPhone 14 could cost Rs 10,000 more than iPhone 13: Details here

It seems that the price of this year’s iPhone may not be as low as the iPhone 13 series, and those who have been waiting to buy the 2022 versions may have to pay extra for the base model as well. The iPhone 14 series can cost $100 more than the iPhone 13 series, which is a significant increase in price.

Due to high import duties, GST charges and other factors, iPhone prices in India are already quite high compared to the US market. With manufacturing and component costs rising for all consumer electronics manufacturers, people should brace themselves for price hikes, according to Wedbush Securities analyst Dan Ives. Apple may decide to pass on the increased cost to customers by pricing the iPhone 14 series higher.

Dan of Wedbush Securities told The Sun: “We think the iPhone 14 will go up by $100.” With this release, Cupertino needs to pass those costs on to users as prices rise throughout the supply chain, he continued.

If that’s the case, it’s likely that the iPhone 14 could cost more than the previous year’s smartphones — perhaps by as much as Rs 10,000. In India, $100 is equal to around Rs 8,000, while Apple normally values $1 as Rs 100. Hence, a price hike of almost Rs 10,000 is expected.

The iPhone 13 starting price in India is currently Rs 79,990. Basically, this means that the iPhone 14 may cost around Rs 90,000. However, we don’t expect the corporation to raise prices by that much. The analyst also claims that Apple may decide to maintain its current price, which could increase sales of iPhone models. Since the price of iPhones is already quite exorbitant for many Indians, it is likely that few individuals will be able to purchase the iPhone 14 series due to its high price.

Since the iPhone 14 Pro variants are expected to receive significant design and camera upgrades, it is possible that the company will decide to increase the cost of these models. The regular edition of the iPhone 14 series is not expected to see significant improvements in these areas, but the Pro variants are also rumored to get the upgraded chipset. We still have a long way to go until the iPhone 14 comes out, as Apple is rumored to be holding an event on September 13.
