Almost five years have passed since the release of the pirate-themed multiplayer action game Sea of Thieves. During this time, the game from Rare has become one of the most popular projects of Xbox Game Studios, although the pace of development and the addition of new content does not always please players. But soon this may change.
Lucid Games has announced that it has joined the Sea of Thieves development team. Lucid Games is likely to support the game in the future, while Rare will focus on creating new games such as Everwild.
Message from Lucid Games on Twitter (banned in Russia):
We are happy to announce that we are working with Rare on Sea of Thieves! We absolutely loved helping them on this exciting pirate adventure, and we can’t wait to find out where this legendary journey will take us!
Note that Lucid Games has previously worked on Apex Legends, EA Sports PGA Tour, the Stadia version of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, and Destruction AllStars for the PlayStation.
