Meta opens an online store where Facebook, Instagram, and Messenger users can purchase visuals for their avatar. Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has announced the opening of the “Avatars Store” on a Facebook post. Prada, Balenciaga, and Thom Browne will be the first digital clothing brands offered by Meta. Free Meta avatar costume options will still be available even though prices for ensembles have not yet been determined.
According to Zuckerberg, the new fashion clothing options give consumers a way to express themselves through their avatars. The company will open the sale of digital clothing next week. (ALSO READ: A Strange Event! A woman orders a chair in the Amazon, finds a bottle of blood)

Meta was improving the look of its avatars in an effort to create “Metaverse.” The online giant has upgraded its avatars to Facebook and Messenger and added 3D avatars to Instagram earlier this year. Avatars now have more faces, skin tones, and accessibility features. The business now allows customers to use the same avatar on all Meta platforms, such as virtual reality, Instagram, Facebook, and Metassenger.
