Microsoft Edge Canary gets feature to share files and notes between devices

The latest builds of Microsoft Edge on the Canary channel have a new “Drop” feature that allows users to store and share files between their devices. It is worth noting that the files are hosted in the OneDrive cloud storage, so when saving, you should take into account the amount of free memory in the cloud.

As is the case with many other Edge features, accessing “Drop” requires opening a dedicated sidebar. You can drag and drop any files into this area and create notes using the “Message” field. Once synced, the items in Drop will be available in Edge on other computers and mobile devices. Thus, the developers want to offer users a cross-platform storage space for various content.

Microsoft is currently A/B testing the feature, so it’s only available to a small number of users. Thus, the sidebar may be missing even if you have an up-to-date build of Edge Canary installed.
