Microsoft ends support for SwiftKey for iOS

Microsoft is ending support for the SwiftKey touch keyboard for iOS. The app will be removed from the Apple App Store on October 5, 2022. The corresponding statement followed after users on Reddit started talking about the fact that SwiftKey for iOS has not been updated for about a year.

On October 5th, support for SwiftKey iOS will end and the app will be removed from the Apple App Store. Microsoft will continue to support SwiftKey for Android, as well as the technology behind the Windows touch keyboard,” Microsoft said in a statement. “If users have SwiftKey installed on iOS, it will continue to work until it is manually removed or until the user purchases a new device. For more information, visit Support.SwiftKey.com.”

Windows Central notes that logging into SwiftKey for iOS with a Microsoft account no longer works.
