
Microsoft has published income statement for the third quarter of fiscal year 2023. Revenue for the specified period amounted to $52.9 billion; net profit – $ 18.3 billion. For comparison, for the same period last year, revenue was $49.4 billion; net profit — $16.7 billion.
Note. The fiscal year is not the same as the calendar year. In the US, the fiscal year starts on July 1 and ends on June 30.
Highlights of the quarterly report:
- Revenue was $52.9 billion (up 7%);
- Operating income was $22.4 billion (up 10%);
- Net income was $18.3 billion, up 9%);
- Divided EPS is $2.45 (up 10%);
- Productivity and business process revenue was $17.5 billion (up 11%);
- Intelligent Cloud revenue was $22.1 billion (up 16%);
- More Personal Computing revenue was $13.3 billion (down 9%);
- Revenue from commercial Office products grew by 13%;
- Office consumer product revenue up 1%;
- LinkedIn revenue up 17%;
- Income from Dynamics grew by 25%;
- Income from server products and cloud services increased by 17%;
- Azure revenue up 27%;
- Windows OEM revenue down 28%;
- Surface revenue down 30%;
- Revenue from commercial Windows products and cloud services grew by 14%;
- The revenue of the gaming division grew by 3%;
- Search advertising revenue increased by 10%.
