
Microsoft has published income statement for the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2022. Revenue for the specified period amounted to $51.9 billion; net profit – $ 16.7 billion. For comparison, for the same period last year, revenue was $ 46.2 billion; net profit — $16.5 billion.
Thus, fiscal year 2022 closed with annual revenue of $198.3 billion. In turn, annual operating income was $83.4 billion.
Note. The fiscal year is not the same as the calendar year. In the US, the fiscal year starts on July 1 and ends on June 30.
Highlights of the quarterly report:
- Revenue was $51.9 billion (up 12%);
- Operating income was $20.5 billion (an increase of 8%);
- Net income was $16.7 billion (up 2%);
- Divided EPS is $2.23 (up 3%);
- Commercial cloud revenue was $25 billion (up 28%);
- Productivity and business process revenue was $16.6 billion (up 13%);
- Intelligent Cloud revenue was $20.9 billion (up 20%);
- More Personal Computing revenue was $14.4 billion (up 2%);
- Revenue from commercial Office products grew by 9%;
- Office consumer product revenue up 9%;
- LinkedIn revenue up 26%;
- Income from Dynamics grew by 19%;
- Income from server products and cloud services grew by 22%;
- Revenue from Azure grew by 40%;
- Windows OEM revenue down 2%;
- Revenue from commercial Windows products and cloud services grew by 6%;
- The revenue of the gaming division decreased by 6%;
- Search ad revenue grew by 18%;
- Surface revenue grew 10%.
