Microsoft has reduced the time of “cold” loading of Xbox Series X|S consoles

A few days ago, a new operating system update for Xbox consoles became available to members of the Microsoft Xbox Insider program on the Alpha channel. This update brought with it a new firmware version for Xbox Wireless Controllers, as well as a large number of bug fixes. But that’s not all.

Portal The Verge informsthat in new builds of the OS under the Xbox Insider program, the cold start time of the game console was reduced. This was made possible by reducing the duration of the loading animation from nine to four seconds. Thus, the console startup time was reduced by about five seconds.

True, the shortened startup animation can only be seen if you put the console in power saving mode, and not in standby mode. This mode assumes that the console is turned off completely, which means that it will take a little longer to get to the game than when using the standby mode. On the other hand, the power saving mode will allow you to slightly reduce energy costs.
