Microsoft has released the Outlook Lite app for Android

Microsoft announced about the release of the Outlook Lite application for Android, which differs from a full-fledged email client in lighter weight, higher performance and less impact on the battery life of the device. At the same time, Outlook Lite supports all the main features available in the regular Outlook client.

The Outlook Lite APK file weighs about 5 MB, and even after installation, the application consumes very little memory on the smartphone. The app has been optimized to run fast on all Android devices, including those with as little as 1 GB of RAM. It is also noted that Outlook Lite is designed for use in all mobile networks, including 2G and 3G, which are still common in many countries around the world.

The lightweight Outlook for Android client is currently only available in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, India, Mexico, Peru, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, and Venezuela.
