Microsoft has announced the annual Ignite 2022 conference for developers and IT professionals, which will be held from October 12 to 14 in several cities around the world at once. The main conference will be held in Seattle at the Seattle Convention Center. Thus, this will be the first face-to-face event since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.

egistration for the event will open at the end of August. At the moment, there is no information on whether visitors will be required to wear masks or provide organizers with a certificate of vaccination. The event will also be held online, and participation will be free.

It’s worth noting that Microsoft Ignite 2022 will take place just a couple of weeks before the 10th anniversary of the Surface lineup. According to The Verge, the company intends to commemorate the occasion with the release of new Surface devices as well as the release of Windows 11 version 22H2 at the end of September. At the moment, it is not known whether these announcements will be made as part of Ignite 2022, or if we should wait for a separate event.
