Microsoft is likely to receive a warning from the European Commission regarding the purchase of Activision Blizzard

Apparently, the European Commission’s antitrust service will soon issue a warning to Microsoft in connection with the acquisition of Activision Blizzard. This is reported Reuters agency. The conclusion of the investigation will outline officials’ concerns about a potential merger.

It is worth noting that earlier the European Commission set April 11, 2023 as the deadline for considering a potential deal between Microsoft and Activision Blizzard. It is assumed that this decision may affect the position of the US Federal Trade Commission (FTC), which at the end of December 2022 refused to approve the deal.

“We continue to work with the European Commission to resolve any market issues. Our goal is to bring more games to more people, and this deal will help achieve that goal,” Microsoft says.
