It seems that there is very little time left before the release of Windows 10 version 22H2. Microsoft has published a minor service update for Windows 10 version 21H2 (build 19044.1862) in the Windows Update catalog, after installation of which the system version and build number will change to 22H2 and 19045.1862, respectively. Note that the official announcement of Windows 10 version 22H2 has not yet been made.
Upgrading from Windows 10 version 21H2 to 22H2 requires update KB5015684, which is only 177 KB in size. As before, this update simply activates changes and new features that were added to the system along with cumulative updates, but were in a disabled state. Information about the innovations and changes in Windows 10 version 22H2 is not yet available, but it can be assumed that the improvements will be related to security and aimed at business customers.
Of course, it’s best to wait for the official announcement of Windows 10 version 22H2 and download the update through Windows Update. However, if you want to switch to the new version of the system right now, you can download update KB5015684 from Microsoft servers. Before installing, make sure your computer has the June 2022 cumulative updates (build 1904x.1806) or newer installed.
