Microsoft is testing the split screen feature in the Edge browser

Famous insider Leopeva64-2 discovered a new feature in Microsoft Edge Canary that allows you to open tabs in split-screen mode within the same browser window. At the moment, the feature is under testing and is available in the experimental flags section.

It is worth noting that this feature is also mentioned in the Dev and Beta builds of Microsoft Edge, but there is no corresponding experimental flag. It is possible that it will appear later as part of A / B testing.

As for the function itself, you could do something similar before by opening several instances of Edge in parallel and placing them side by side using the operating system. Splitting the screen inside a specific Edge window might be more elegant, as you’ll only have one Edge icon on the taskbar, and the browser interface won’t be duplicated in each window.
