Team Xbox starts a months-long series of experiments that will help developers figure out how to create a more personalized dashboard based on key trends and user requests. Starting this week, some Xbox Insiders on the Alpha Skip-Ahead channel will notice changes to the layout and design of the dashboard. In particular, the team is exploring options for organizing new gaming channels and scroll-down collections that will include curated content.
Main changes in the first update:
- The new Home panel gives you quick access to recent games and apps.
- Tiles on the Xbox dashboard provide easy access to important system apps and areas such as Settings, Store, Search, and My games & apps.
- The dashboard design has become more consistent.
- As you scroll down, you’ll find curated categories and recommendations tailored to your gaming preferences.
In the coming months, Microsoft will continue to refine the dashboard user interface based on insider feedback. The full release of the new Xbox home screen will take place in 2023.
