On November 30, 2022, an unscheduled update was released to improve the OOBE feature in Windows 10 versions 2004, 20H2, 21H1, 21H2, and 22H2. This update allows devices that meet the minimum requirements to be upgraded to Windows 11 as part of the Initial System Setup (OOBE). The offer will only be available if this update is installed.The update is available for:
- Windows 10, version 2004 (Home and Pro only)
- Windows 10 version 20H2 (Home and Pro only)
- Windows 10 version 21H1 (Home and Pro only)
- Windows 10 version 21H2 (Home and Pro only)
- Windows 10 version 22H2 (Home and Pro only)
How to get an update:
This update is automatically installed during Initial Windows Setup (OOBE) if an Internet connection is available. Installation also requires the following updates to be installed:
- Windows 10 version 2004
- Windows 10 Version 20H2
- Additional updates are not required.
- Windows 10 Version 21H1
- Additional updates are not required.
- Windows 10 Version 21H2
- Additional updates are not required.
- Windows 10 Version 22H2
- Additional updates are not required.
