Nothing phone (1) did not get Nothing OS 1.1.0 update: Check what’s changing

The Nothing (1) phone recently received its second software update, which brings the phone’s software version up to Nothing OS 1.1.0. The update brings a number of fixes, improvements to camera performance and even a freshly designed changelog, complete with emoticons. Here’s everything you need to know about the Nothing (1) 1.1.0 phone update.

The new update is still based on Android 12 and is now also receiving the July 2022 Android security patch. The update is 117MB in size and comes with a large changelog full of minor changes. The update even adds a Tesla integration feature that the Nothing founder showed off during the phone’s launch earlier this month.

Camera improvements

Camera improvements with the new update include improved quality and reduced noise when shooting in low light. The camera app now also allows you to use the Glyph lights feature in portrait mode.

There is also no claim that the update improves the dynamic range of low-light photos, as well as the clarity of images taken with the ultra-wide-angle camera. Finally, color consistency on the main and ultra-wide sensors is also said to be improved.

Other changes

Nothing fixed the lock screen bug on the phone that would sometimes completely hide the fingerprint unlock icon, leaving users having to enter their PIN or password to unlock the phone. The phone also gets the July 2022 security patch and optimizes Glyph lights for reliability.

Nothing also mentions that the update improves Face Unlock performance and fixes many other unspecified bugs.

How to update

To update your Nothing (1) phone to Nothing OS 1.1.0, you can go to Settings/System/System Update and click ‘Download and Install’ at the bottom right corner of the screen when the new update changes list appears. After installing the update, the phone will need to be restarted.
