Poco M5 Launched in India: Check Price, Specs & More

Poco today launched its Poco M5 in India. This smartphone comes with an FHD+ screen with 90Hz refresh rate support and is powered by a MediaTek SoC. The display is additionally protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It features a 50MP primary camera sensor and houses a 5,000 mAh battery.

Poco M5 comes in three color variants which are POCO Yellow, Icy Blue and Power Black. This smartphone comes at a price of ₹12,499 for 4GB RAM with 64GB storage and 6GB RAM with 128GB storage costs ₹14,499. Additionally, the Chinese smartphone brand is offering a discount of ₹1,500 as part of its BBD sale discount for ICICI and Axis Bank cardholders only.

This latest smartphone from Poco has a 6.58-inch FHD+ display that supports up to 90Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sample rate. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

Additionally, this smartphone comes with Widevine L1 certification, which means users will be able to consume 1080p content on Netflix. Under the hood, this phone is powered by the MediaTek Helio G99 SoC and comes with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage. Interestingly, the device also comes with a virtual RAM feature that can add up to 2GB of RAM by borrowing it from the phone’s internal storage.

In terms of optics, the handset packs a triple rear camera with a 50MP primary sensor. It also includes a 2MP depth sensor and a 2MP macro camera. For selfies, the smartphone is equipped with an 8MP front camera.

Talking about the battery, the Poco M5 is backed by a 5,000mAh battery and supported by 18W fast charging. For security, this phone is equipped with a side fingerprint sensor.

Meanwhile, the Poco C50 has reportedly been spotted in the IMEI database with the model number 220733SPI. Rumor has it that the listing is for the Indian market. This smartphone could be a rebranded version of the Redmi A1+ and was believed to feature a different camera setup.
