The upcoming Diwali release of ‘Ram Setu’ just got its own official game called ‘Ram Setu: The Run.’ The game was launched today and was designed for phones and tablets and is now available for both Android and iOS. Developed by Mumbai-based studio Dot9 Games and leading home gaming company nCore Games, this title is an endless runner that is essentially similar to Temple Run.
The game offers impressive visuals, responsive controls and great locations. There are several characters to choose from – all from the upcoming film, of course. You can play as Dr Aryan Kulshrestha (Akshay Kumar), Sandra (Jacqueline Fernandez) or AP (Satyadev Kancharana) and control them in exotic looking environments while avoiding obstacles. Other twists in the action mode include shooting down enemies, driving jeeps and dodging drones, among other exciting challenges.
Multiplayer modes add to the fun – you can play against a random online player, create an online lobby and play with friends, or even compete with someone nearby in split-screen multiplayer mode. If you score high enough, you can also appear on the leaderboard.
“Ram Setu: The Run is our attempt to combine our game development skills with successful IP to deliver a polished, fun gaming experience that anyone can pick up and play,” Deepak Ail, co-founder and CEO of Dot9 Games. said in a press statement. “To further underline our commitment to this, our team has worked hard to ensure that it is optimized well enough to play on low-end smartphones as well as tablets. Gaming is for everyone and Ram Setu: The Run is our effort to make that a reality,” he added.
Vishal Gondal, founder of nCore Games, believes that Ram Setu: The Run is the company’s “humble response to PM Modi’s Make-in-India call”.
“Ram Setu was conceived as an epic action-adventure spectacle for the whole family, and the opportunity to re-imagine the film’s extension as an engaging and exciting game is another step towards bringing fans closer to the world of Ram Setu. ”, said Vikram Malhotra, Founder and CEO of Abundantia Entertainment.
