ust recently it was revealed that Facebook’s most popular instant messaging app, WhatsApp, will soon be able to allow users to control the playback speed of voice messages. This means that users will be able to hear the audio message at three different speeds – 1.0x, 1.5x and 2.0x. The feature was spotted by WABetaInfo, which reported that this comes on both Android and iOS. However, the screens only show what the feature will look like in the Android version. Now, the same website has shown the interface on iOS.
By its appearance, one can see that the speedometer indicator is located below the profile picture, inside the audio recording chat bar. It’s the same as what your Android partner saw and it’s straightforward. Users can adjust the playback speed of the voice message by tapping the speed label on the voice messages. During the screening of the Android version, the website revealed that WhatsApp will also support low-speed gaming, however, they will not be released to the public as they are unreasonable.
Appropriately stated by the website that no start date has been set for this feature as it is still being tested.
Meanwhile, the same website has sent another piece of information that WhatsApp plans to offer WhatsApp Web Beta for iOS and Android users soon. This app will be compatible with WhatsApp Messenger and WhatsApp Business applications and will enable users to use WhatsApp Web without having to keep their phones connected to the internet.
