Sony says the PlayStation 5 is now much easier to find in retail stores around the world as the company has managed to cope with “unprecedented demand” for the game console. Recall that supply problems have been observed for more than two years, both due to supply chains disrupted by the pandemic and due to a shortage of microchips. Sony thanks fans for their patience.
“If you’re looking to purchase a PS5 console, it’s now much easier for you to find it in retail stores around the world,” said Isabelle Tomatis, Vice President of Brands, Hardware and Peripherals, Sony Interactive Entertainment.
In addition, Sony has launched a new advertising campaign to promote the PlayStation 5 on social networks. In particular, the company prepared a video filmed in the style of a live news channel with a lot of references to games.
A giant Leviathan ax from God of War has appeared next to the London Eye Ferris wheel. More PlayStation promotions are expected this week in Europe.
The advertising campaign began a few weeks before the start of sales of the PlayStation VR2 virtual reality headset. Recall that it will go on sale on February 22 at a price of $550. More than 30 VR games will be available to users at release, including Gran Turismo 7, Resident Evil Village, and Horizon Call of the Mountain.
