Support for Windows 7 ESU and Windows 8.1 will end on January 10th

Tomorrow, January 10, 2023, Microsoft will end extended support for Windows 8.1 and the release of paid security updates for Windows 7 through the ESU program. This means users of these operating systems should upgrade to Windows 10 or Windows 11 as soon as possible to stay protected from the latest security threats.

Recall that free security updates for Windows 7 have not been released since January 2020, but for corporate customers Microsoft decided to extend support for the operating system, but on a paid basis. Three years later, this program has come to an end, and Microsoft will not renew it. Thus, on January 10, Windows 7 ESU will receive the latest security update.
