The Redmi K50i will be launched in India on July 20: Here’s what you can expect

Redmi has confirmed that it will launch a new K series phone in India later this month on July 20. The new device is the Redmi K50i 5G. A new promotional image shared by the company suggests that the phone will play blue and comes with a triple camera setting in the background.

Some details about the Redmi K50i have not yet been officially launched but we may see more details on the lead dates before the launch.

The Redmi K50i will be the first Redmi K-series phone in India since the Redmi K20 and K20 Pro. When consecutive K-series phones were introduced in China years ago, these phones used to come to India as Poco devices renamed. Other examples are the Redmi K30 that comes here as the Poco X2 or the Redmi K40 Gaming Edition introduced here as the Poco F3 GT.

However, the Redmi K50i is reportedly going to be based on a K-series phone from China, but instead a Note Note system.

Redmi K50i: What can you expect?

The Redmi K50i may be based on the Redmi Note 11T Pro + launched in China earlier this year, as per the leak. If this is true, we can see it presented with the same specifications.

These include a 6.6 inch FHD + 144Hz IPS LCD screen, Dimensity 8100 chipset, triple rear camera including 64MP main sensor, 8MP ultrawide sensor and 2MP macro sensor and 4400mAh battery supported by 120W fast charging.

However, we suggest that you take this information with a grain of salt for now, as even if Redmi re-brands the same phone as the K50i in India, the details may change to the Indian variant of the device. We should know more about the Redmi K50i in the next few weeks.
