The stable version of Microsoft Edge 104.0 has been released

Microsoft has begun distributing the stable version of Microsoft Edge 104 (104.0.1293.47), which brings with it several new features. In particular, web threat protection has been improved and the ability to import data from Chrome using a Google account login has been added.

Component Updates

  • Improving Internet Security. Now in the “Improve Internet Security” section of the page edge://settings/privacy By default, the “Basic” protection mode is activated. This option allows Microsoft Edge to apply additional protection to infrequently visited sites. The setting will not apply to popular websites. You can read more about this on the Microsoft website.
  • Import data from Chrome using Google account when you first launch Edge. This feature allows users to import data from Chrome by logging into their Google account the first time they launch Edge. The feature can be disabled via policy HideFirstRunExperienceor by switching the policy AutoImportAtFirstRun to the “DisabledAutoImport” state.
