The third phase of the Covid-19 vaccination campaign in India begins on April 1. The vaccination campaign in India began in January as health care workers and forensic workers were vaccinated. A second phase was followed where adults (over 60 years of age) and people aged 45 or over with comorbidities were eligible. Now, in the third stage, people 45 years of age or older without comorbidities are eligible for the vaccine.
People have the option to register on the site by going to the nearest immunization center after 3 PM or they can choose to register online among the rising Covid-19 cases in the country.
Online registration can be done through the cowin.gov.in website or the Aarogya Setu app with the CoWin integration (available on iOS and Android). On the other hand, the CoWin app has not yet been made available to the public. If you find any such applications in the Google Play Store and Apple App Store, do not download them as they may steal your data.
The whole process remains the same whether you sign up for a website or an app. You can enter your phone number, enter the One-Time Password (OTP).
You will be asked to enter a photo ID type, photo ID number and fill in details such as age, gender. You can use your driver’s license, Aadhaar card, PAN card and others as proof of photo ID. One person can subscribe to up to four people with a registered mobile number.
In addition, you will need to enter information such as State / Union Territory, District, Block, Pincode to search for the nearest vaccination center. You can choose a date to get the vaccine. Once registered, the appointment can be rescheduled for user convenience. You will need to sign in with the same mobile number as previously registered to make these appointment changes.
