WhatsApp will soon introduce a unique feature to make managing your conversations easier. The company said it is currently working to bring chat filters to its site that will continue to filter conversations based on unread messages, contacts that are not in your phonebook, stored numbers, and groups.
This feature is already part of WhatsApp Business, and now the company now plans to introduce the same feature to regular non-business users, says WABetaInfo.
If you are a serious WhatsApp user, the new filters will help you manage your chat list in a very easy way.
Here’s what you need to know about the new feature:
A filter button will appear in the app’s top bar, where you will be able to adjust which conversations are shown as favorites.
For WhatsApp Business users, the conversion filter appears only when they use the search bar. But, for normal users, the button should always be visible.
WABetaInfo also said that the new feature will work on WhatsApp desktop applications, Android and iOS apps.
WhatsApp has historically been slow to make new additions to its site and provided barebones messaging information. And by going through this process of testing new features for a long time, do not expect the feature to come anytime soon.
In the meantime, though, you need to wait until WhatsApp arrives to release this feature to its beta users.
