Ultrahuman announces a smart wearable ring to track metabolism

Ultrahuman has announced its latest outfit: Ultrahuman Ring. The company says the ring can track users’ metabolism, balance movement, sleep and other physical variables in real time. The ring has a small form factor, has no screen and will not vibrate. Limited by 5 days of battery life by the company.

Designed to withstand extremely unsafe conditions during operation, the outer surface of the Ring is made of titanium coated with tungsten carbide. It has a smooth inner shell to make it comfortable during sleep and rest. The Ultrahuman ring will track many details including NEAT (non-exercise activity thermogenesis), sleep efficiency and its impact on glucose metabolism and the impact of diet on recovery and function.

“We have always believed in the power of biomarkers in terms of their ability to make life better. With the Ultrahuman ring and a new series of metabolic biomarker signals, you can now not only understand what affects your body glucose but also how to make the details more effective. Eg. You can find out how much glucose metabolism is affected by a lack of sleep compared to the diet itself. This is an amazing jump in the biomarker world and allows us to learn about the various aspects of human life in a unique way that has a greater impact than ever before, ”said Mohit Kumar, founder and CEO of Superhuman.

Ultrahuman Ring will be available worldwide on pre-order from 7 July 2022 and the company says it will start shipping devices from August 2022. The company has not yet announced device prices.

In addition to the Ring, Ultrahuman also sells M1, a continuous glucose monitoring platform from the country. The ring can work in conjunction with M1 to provide more details on users’ bodies and metabolism.
