Twitter users (blocked in the Russian Federation) found a video on YouTube with the unboxing of the new version of the Xbox Elite Controller Series 2 with a white front panel and black handles. Interestingly, the video was published three weeks ago, but it was noticed only now. The author of the video Nicholas Lugo (Nicholas Lugo) claims that the device was purchased in the United States.
By the way, this is not the first leak. Boxes with a white version of the Xbox Elite Controller Series 2 were spotted in a US retail store back in March of this year. Despite this, the device has not yet been announced, and they probably managed to forget about it. But this does not mean that Microsoft is not working on a new version of the controller. It is possible that the white Xbox Elite Controller Series 2 will be presented at Gamescom 2022 later this month.
Xbox Elite series controllers are quite popular among gamers, but both existing versions are not very reliable. In the first generation, rubber pads fell off after a few months, and in the second generation, bumpers quickly break. Due to reliability issues, Microsoft was forced to extend the Xbox Elite Controller Series 2 warranty from 90 days to 1 year.
