After announcing the ability to retrieve deleted messages in its latest beta update for iOS, Meta-owned WhatsApp is now rolling out a feature that allows group admins to delete any message in a group.
The feature has only been rolled out to some lucky beta testers, so it will take some time to roll out to all other accounts, according to WABetaInfo.
“If you are a group administrator and cannot delete messages sent by other participants, please wait for a future update as more activations will follow in the coming weeks,” the message said.
The report mentioned that this is a significant feature for group admins as they can finally moderate their WhatsApp groups better.
Additionally, when a message is deleted for everyone in a group, all other group members will see that the administrator of a particular group has deleted the message.
Recently, the platform started rolling out the ability to track Status directly from the WhatsApp chat list for iOS users.
Beta version 22.18.0.70 brings the ability to view status updates within the chat list. It was released to some beta testers, so it’s still not available to everyone.
