Good morning, friends! Microsoft has released a new Windows 10 pre-build number 21277 for Windows Insider program members using the Dev channel (formerly “Early access”).
Full build number: Windows 10 21277.1000 rs_prerelease 201207-1443
As mentioned earlier, Microsoft has given insiders on the Dev channel the ability to get builds from the RS_PRERELEASE branch. These builds will be offered as an optional update in Windows update for those who manually check for updates. This means that insiders need to independently confirm the installation of the build from the RS_PRERELEASE branch. This method of distributing assemblies is temporary. Microsoft plans to move all insiders on the Dev channel to builds from the RS_PRERELEASE branch after the holidays.
Note. Features such as the updated Emoji panel, redesigned touch keyboard and voice input, and theme-based splash screens that were removed at the end of October will once again be available to insiders who have installed this RS_PRERELEASE build. Please note that some of these features are still only available to certain insiders. In the future, they will appear in more users.
If you want to leave everything as it is, you will continue to automatically receive builds from the FE_RELEASE branch until the company transfers all insiders on the Dev channel to the RS_PRERELEASE. It will happen after the holidays. The company still needs insiders who use builds from the FE_RELEASE branch to provide feedback on them. So it”™s okay if you decide to stay on these builds.
Be sure to verify out the listing of discovered issues. It is important to note that the lists of fixes and associated bugs differ for the FE_RELEASE and RS_PRERELEASE builds.
Important! After you decide to install an Assembly from the RS_PRERELEASE branch, you can”™t go back to getting assemblies from the FE_RELEASE, because the device will have a higher system build number. You can go back to the previous version of the system within ten days if you don”™t install another build from the RS_PRERELEASE branch during this time.
We would let you that the Dev channel which can contain quite unpleasant with errors if you are a beginner. If you need more establishment, we recommend switching to the Release Preview channels or Beta (Late access).
Innovations

Added support for Unicode Emoji 12.1 and 13.0
Starting with this build, insiders can first get to know the emoticons that Microsoft developed to support Emoji 12.1 and 13.0. This update adds more than 200 new emoticons to Windows, some of which you can see below:

Finally, based on feedback, Microsoft has made several improvements to the search terms for emoticons. If in the new build you still find that the expected emoticons are not shown in the search, don’t forget to send the appropriate feedback.
Changes and improvements
- Updated the animation when opening or closing the window to make the transition smoother. Notice the difference?
- Now you can use the “Sketch on a screen fragment” function in creating a screenshot using WIN + Shift + S, and then paste it to the desired folder in file Explorer to store the screenshot in the selected location.
- The touch keyboard in portrait method on 2-in-1 devices immediately supports split keyboard mode. (This development was earlier released to insiders on the Beta channel as a component of the Windows Feature Experience Pack update).
- You can now delete the Scissors tool from the system. If you decide to delete it, you can always reinstall the tool on the “Additional Components” page in the “Settings”.
- Some changes have been made to improve the graph scaling logic on the Performance tab in the task Manager.
- Updated the “registry Editor”. Now CTRL + Backspace is supported in the search field, key renaming field, and other places to quickly delete words.
- When you use the Delete key or the Close button in Notification Center to clear notification groups, the narrator will now report that the notification group has been cleared, rather than simply moving the focus to the next notification group.
- Based on feedback, Microsoft has adjusted some lines in the offline map’s settings to make them more understandable.
- To help you find what you’re looking for faster, the company has updated the folder logic in the list of all apps in the start menu. Now, if a folder contains only one item, this item will be displayed instead of the folder.

Known Issue
- Engineers are working on an error that caused many users to notice a pop-up message saying “your computer has a problem and it will restart in 1 minute” after logging into the Windows active directory or azure Active directory account. If you encounter this problem, quickly save your data so that the system will restart automatically.
- We investigate reports that the system update process may hang for a long time when trying to install a new build.
- The real-time preview for pinned site tabs is not yet available to all insiders, so you can see a grey window when you hover over the thumbnail on the taskbar. Engineers are working to improve this feature.
- Engineers enable a new taskbar feature for already installed websites. However, you can uninstall a site from the taskbar, remove it from the edge://apps page, and then install it again.
- We are investigating an issue where after installing this version, the “Settings” – > “System” – > “memory” – > “disk and volume Management” section doesn’t show any disks.
