A few weeks ago, Windows 11 version 22H2 received an update codenamed “Moment 1” that brought with it several new features not included in the functional update of the operating system. In particular, Microsoft added support for the tabbed interface in Explorer, the taskbar overflow function, and so on.
It is expected that already in the first quarter of 2023 the release of the second such update, called “Moment 2”, will take place. Members of the Windows Insider program on the Beta channel are already testing the innovations that should be part of this update.
But Microsoft is not going to stop there, and it seems that they are already planning the release of the Moment 3 update. In the Windows 11 22H2 Build 22623.885 insider build, PhantomOcean3 managed to find a mention of the “MTestUx14” function (ID 41655236), which probably hides “Moment 3”. The feature called “MTestUx13” refers to the “Moment 2” update.
Update | Identifier (ID) |
moment 1 | 39145991 |
moment 2 | 39281392 (MTestUx13) |
moment 3 | 41655236 (MTestUx14) |
Moment 3 will likely be released in the summer or fall of 2023. Information about planned innovations is not yet available.
