Microsoft has released a new preview build of Windows 11 22000.1279 (KB5019157) for Windows Insiders using the Release Preview channel. This cumulative update brings with it a number of fixes for bugs found in Windows 11 version 21H2.

Changes and fixes

- Fixed issues that caused persistent crashes when installing Microsoft Store updates.
- We fixed an issue that affected some company-managed devices. This improved the reliability of app installation on these devices.
- Addresses an issue that affects Unified Update Platform (UUP) enterprise clients. Because of it, the system could not receive offline language packs.
- We fixed an issue affecting Cluster Name Objects (CNOs) and Virtual Computer Objects (VCOs). The password reset failed with the error: “AD password reset error occurred… // 0x80070005”.
- We fixed an issue that affected Microsoft Direct3D 9 (D3D9). Because of it, D3D9 stopped working correctly when using Microsoft Remote Desktop.
- We fixed an issue that could affect applications running under the Windows Lock Down Policy (WLDP). Because of this problem, they might not work.
- We fixed an issue that affected Microsoft Defender for Endpoint. Automatic scanning blocked the real-time scanning job.
- Fixed an issue where TextInputHost.exe could stop responding.
- We fixed an issue resulting in the Start menu crashing when navigating between pages of pinned apps if the system is in a right-to-left language.
