Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22000.588 Announcement (Beta and Release Preview Channels)

Good evening friends! Microsoft has released a new preview build of Windows 11 22000.588 (KB5011563) for Windows Insiders using the Beta and Release Preview channels.

This cumulative update brings with it a number of fixes for bugs found in the release version of Windows 11. You can find the full list of fixes on the official blog. We will list only the most important changes and improvements.

Changes and fixes

  • [Новое] Up to three high priority notifications can now be displayed at the same time. This feature is intended for applications that use Windows notifications for call notifications, reminders, and alarms. This means that four toast notifications can now be displayed on the screen at once – three with high priority and one with normal priority.
  • We fixed an issue resulting in Universal Windows Platform (UWP) apps being disabled after a system update.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the process to crash SystemSettings.exe.
  • Fixed an issue that affected performance searchindexer.exe and prevented Microsoft Outlook from returning recent emails in offline search results.
  • We fixed an issue that caused Windows startup time to increase. This issue occurs because the UI thread in the networking API becomes unresponsive when the 5G (WWAN) connection module is slow to turn on.
  • Fixed a memory leak in wmipicmp.dllwhich was causing a high number of false positives in System Center Operations Manager (SCOM).
  • We fixed an issue resulting in incorrect Execution Policy settings being returned from the registry.
  • We fixed an issue that prevented modern browsers from correctly displaying HTML generated by gpresult/h.
  • We fixed an issue that could cause the Group Policy Management Console to crash when the application is closed. The system logged an error with ID and code 0xc0000005 (STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATION). Faulty module – GPOAdmin.dll.
  • Fixed error 0xD1 (DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL) in DirectX kernel component.
  • Added support for Microsoft Account (MSA) Pass-through scenarios in Azure Active Directory (AAD) Web Account Manager (WAM).
  • We fixed an issue that caused the User Account Control (UAC) dialog to incorrectly display an application requesting privilege escalation.
  • We fixed an issue where a file in Microsoft OneDrive could be out of focus after renaming it and pressing Enter.
  • Searching for “widgets” will now return the appropriate page in Settings.
  • Addresses an issue that prevents access to Server Message Block (SMB) shares using an IP address when SMB security is enabled.
  • We fixed an issue that caused error code 0x1E in SMB Server (srv2.sys).
  • Fixed an issue that caused a mismatch between NetBIOS domain names and Active Directory DNS when creating a cluster.
