YouTube says post-repair services affect thousands

YouTube Alphabet Inc said on Tuesday it had fixed a problem that had left thousands of users unable to access the platform or access slow-moving services.

Downdetector, which has shown that there are more than 15,000 instances of people reporting problems with YouTube, tracks disruptions by compiling status reports from several sources, including errors posted by users in their place.

“If you had a slower experience or had trouble accessing YouTube earlier today – this has been fixed! The problem took about 20 minutes,” YouTube said on Twitter.

A major disruption disrupted Amazon’s cloud services for several hours last week which led to Netflix, Disney, Robinhood and a host of other inaccessible resources, including Amazon’s e-commerce website.

YouTube has experienced 65 breakouts over the past 12 months, according to the website ToolTester.
